The contractor that cares

Kitchen 6

When Ken and Michelle began considering remodeling their kitchen, a mutual friend referred them to

HOME-TIME Renovation Co. Since they were not sure where to begin and what to anticipate for cost,

we began discussing ideas and budget, layouts and style.

Knowing what you like and dislike about your current space is a helpful starting point. What they

disliked most about their kitchen was the layout and flow. Through several meetings and layout

changes we finally came to a final design that completely altered their flow and traffic pattern, gave

them more counter space and better work areas. We even removed a bulky pantry closet to open it up.

A pantry cabinet was installed beside the refrigerator so they still have plenty of storage.

With their style and taste Ken and Michelle chose maple cabinets with a recessed door and a warm

stain. For quality counters that will add value to the home and hold up to a family’s wear and tear,

quartz counters were the right choice and accented the cabinets beautifully!

To stay on budget a high quality vinyl floor was chosen in a soft, light color to keep things airy and

bright. Lighting changes were needed due to the change of layout and some lights added. A kitchen can

never have too much light, but keeping groups of lighting on different switches can allow you to have as

much or little as needed.

A tile backsplash really finished off the look. Michelle really wanted some glass tiles in the design, but

it can get costly if the whole splash is done with glass. A great alternative is to choose a neutral tile and

add a line or accents with glass, at a fraction of the cost!

Ken and Michelle and their family now have a whole new kitchen and we have a happy client! We can’t

thank them enough for how wonderful it was to work with them and all the referrals they have sent our

way!
